Department of Information System

Currently the faculty offers the Bachelor of Computer Science programme for undergraduate students. This programme provides knowledge and skills in computer science discipline and also includes seven embedded graduate generic skills such as communications skills, teamworking, problem solving, adaptability, lifelong learning, self-esteem, ethics and integrity. Four of the compulsary subject are taught by members of the IS department. Year 3 Theory of Computer Science,IT Entrepreneurship, Elective Subject I, Elective Subject II, Elektif Bahasa Inggeris, Project I, Elective Subject III, Elective Subject IV, Elective Subject V, Elective Subject VI, Project II Short Semester Practical Training IS Subjects in Computer Science Information Technology & Information Systems Information Systems Development Database Systems Technology Entrepreneurship The curriculum also provides an alternative for students to specialize in different areas through 6 elective subjects. Students who choose to specialize in Information Systems will have to take TWO IS core subjects, THREE IS subjects from different areas of specialization within IS and ONE free elective form any subjects offered by the faculty.

Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer Network and Security) Many a country has taken the leap into the digital world with the dream of enhancing performance, increasing revenue and supporting ease of use. Net work communication and Security plays an important role in assuring that these are done in an efficient and secure manner. The bachelor of Computer Science specializing in Computer Networks and Security is a new academic program specially tailored to produce Computer Scientists who are able to utilize Computer Science techniques in managing, analyzing, modeling, monitoring, developing and solving problems in the field of network and security, Apart from the core and elective subjects, the course exposes students to hands-on training aligned with professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP and open source.

Diploma Passed in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia Obtained Diploma or other institutions recognized by Malaysian government and approved by the University Senate Attended Malaysian University English Test (MUET). Candidate who have Diploma in Computer Science from UTM or equivalent with at least PNGK 2.50 OR Candidates who have PNGK less than 2.50 but at least 2 years of working experience in the related fields can apply. Passed with credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent OR at least Grade C in one mathematics subjects in Diploma level. Candidates are required to send the complete test results during diploma (from first semester to last semester) to UTM. Candidates are also required to sent a copy of the diploma or surat pengesahan tamat pengajian.

Bachelor of Computer Science (Industrial Computing)

Rapid development in Malaysia industrial sector is inline with the evolution on computer hardware, software and communication technology. Thus, the integration among discipline and need for IT people become increasing. Besides, it also needed a manpower from graduate student’s with the knowledge in varies discipline; computer science, information technology, industrial engineering, manufacturing and management science. Therefore, Bachelor of Computer Science (Industrial Computing) programme has been offered by Department of Modeling and Industrial Computing in order to fulfill the needs of manpower that had an expertise in computer science and related fields. The main objective of this programme is to produce manpower with the ability in computer programming or system analyst, specialize in the area of industrial engineering, manufacturing or management science.

Bachelor of Computer Science(Software Engineering ) Software Engineering is about the application of an engineering approach in the development, operation and maintenance of a large scale software system. A software engineer should have both technical and creative skills in the creation of high quality software. The Bachelor of Computer Science specializing in Software Engineering is a full time academic programme that is specifically designed to support the current needs for professional and competent software engineers. The intake of this course is based on the students STPM and Matriculation results or their equivalence. Those who are completed the diploma are also most welcome to join the course with direct entry. It takes 7 semester to complete this course where the last semester is for the practical training. Each students will be taking courses with the total 120 credit hours to receive the Bachelor of Science (Software Engineering) degree certificate. Sekarang nie UTM da keluarkan logo baru... selalunya kalau dilihat logo utm yang terdahulu hanyalah kosong tetapi bagi logo korporat yang baru dilancarkan pada 4 febuari yang lalu memaparkan nama UTM pada sebelah logo tersebut...Pada masa dahulu logo UTM hanya ditukar warna emasnya dengan warna merah... tetapi berlainan dengan logo baru ini penambahan nama UTM di sebelah logo tersebut menampakkan logo tersebut lebih komersial.... sama seperti logo USM yang meletakkan nama pada logonya...Oleh Sebab itu, diingatkan kepada rakan2 ddc supaya menggunakan logo terbaru yang telah diubah awal bulan ini.

banyak gak bantuan-bantuan daripada rakan2 ddc... ramai jugak laa yang sudi
bagi pertolongan time nie...pengarahnya syarif ,dak2 laen yang saje tolong...hehe ramai gak..antaranya nizam, nelly, aku, faizal, hafiz, ayu, zafirah, abi, iqbal, dan dak afif. Lama gak ktorgpasang poster nie...stat dr tempat bas hingga kat depan dewan.Malam2 mcm nie best gak buat keje2 mcm nie...slalu duk kat bilik kat cn bosan laa...x tau nak buat ape...
kalau ader aktiviti mcm nie sekurang-kurangnya ada laa hilang tension sket....hehe..
Seminggu nie ader laa program it fair tue...tp x tau laaa ader pe...tengok kat
luar ramai gak yang jual makanan pakaian tp tak tau laa ada sambutan ke tak....
dak utm skunk nie malas nak kuar mana2...abis kuliah jek trus balik blek...
kalau x tido, main game,kalau x main game, tengok tenet, kalau x tenet tengok movie...
mayb sebb tue kot kurang sambutan..Malam tue memang sampai kul 12 laa...lama gak nak pasang poster nie.....hehe
