Department of Information System


Currently the faculty offers the Bachelor of Computer Science programme for undergraduate students. This programme provides knowledge and skills in computer science discipline and also includes seven embedded graduate generic skills such as communications skills, teamworking, problem solving, adaptability, lifelong learning, self-esteem, ethics and integrity. Four of the compulsary subject are taught by members of the IS department.

Year 1
Programming Technique 1, Digital Logic, Information System and Technology, Linear Algebra, Islamic Civilization and Asia Civilization (TITAS I), English for Academic Communications, Programming Techniques II, Database Systems, Computer Organization & Assembly Language, Discrete Structure, Numerical Analysis, Islamic Civilization and Asia Civilization (TITAS I), Co-Curriculum

Year 2
Data Structure, System Software, Data Communication and Network, Information System Development, Software Engineering, Islam & Current Issue, Artificial Intelligence, Fundamental of Computer Graphic, Modeling and Simulation, Web Programming, Advanced English for Academic Communication, Elective UHP, Co-Curriculum

Short Term (Mei Semester): Application Development.

Year 3

  • The curriculum also provides an alternative for students to specialize in different areas through 6 elective subjects. Students who choose to specialize in Information Systems will have to take TWO IS core subjects, THREE IS subjects from different areas of specialization within IS and ONE free elective form any subjects offered by the faculty.
